I had an idea that could incorporate the dads in the group. Maybe we could do a group-wide home repair work share program. The whole group gets together at a members house to do some repair work, clean up, gardening, whatever needs to be done, and in exchange, they have to pitch in at the other members homes. Even if only 10 people got involved, I know a lot could get done around here with 8 extra hands! Maybe we could even do it twice a year, spring clean up and fall winterizing?
Any thoughts, ideas?
I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but maybe we could even do it as the wahm co-op for now??? |

This is a wonderful idea and I wish I was more "local" to join in!!!
Years ago we used to have pitch-in days here at the pond to help maintain the trails and walkways that everyone used, and even gather wood for the fires....made it a pot luck affair and always had tons of great food, and then many folks would camp out over night. As less and less people came to use the land less and less people came to care for the land. Things are in serious disrepair and I have even tried solicting kind folks from far and wide who have never been here before to come work in exchange for pot luck and community... no takers at all.
I feel you may do better when it's a house to house project
